As usual, we’ll be introducing you all to our artisans/authors/artists, sponsors, and activities for the Market every week as we get closer to the big day.

Tell us about the geeky goodness you’ll be bringing to the next Geekery Market! Two local authors will be bringing you their fantasy/dark fantasy best! Two local authors will be bringing you their fantasy/dark fantasy best! Darin Kennedy has psychic dreamscape mysteries based in Russian classical music, magical chess games, and a YA retelling of A Christmas Carol. Matthew Saunders writes werewolves and vampires and demons, oh my! Come check out our books!

How did you get started doing what you do?Darin and Matthew have both been writing for well over a decade and neither knows what they’d do with themselves if they weren’t making up another story for you to enjoy!

What’s an item you are bringing that you are really excited about? Darin is bringing a few copies of his signed numbered limited edition hardcover of his entire Fugue & Fable series. Only 100 will be made! Matthew will have paperback and hardcover copies of “Nothing but the Blood”, his 1960s Werewolves in South Carolina dark fantasy for you to peruse!

What else would you like everyone to know about your wares? We’ll have everything in paperback and some in hardcover, and if you like ebook or audiobook, come by anyway and we’ll tell you how to find those formats!

What’s your favorite holiday story? Darin is biased – he loves Carol, his YA retelling of A Christmas Carol, but he generally loves every version of that great story. Matthew is a Christmas fanatic, and one of his favorites is A Muppet Christmas Carol.

Come see us on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 10am to 4PM at the  Cabarrus Arena & Events Center – 4751 NC Highway 49 (Event Center B). The event is FREE to the public, but we are requesting a donation of canned goods or cash which goes to our charity, Second Harvest Metrolina . Please note that this location does charge for parking: $8 per car, $15 per van, $25 per bus (credit/debit only). See you there!
