What Else You Should Know About Them:

What kind of geeky goodness will you be bringing with you to the next Geekery Market?

Tracy MayDay Pottery specializes in hand built stoneware pottery. My style is eclectic and fun and most items are one of a kind. You'll find items that are both geeky and non-geeky. I make lots of mugs and ornaments, as well as trinket trays, bowls, and other items.

What's an item you are bringing that you are really excited about?

I am very proud of my stoneware sweater mugs. They look like cable knit sweaters with three wooden buttons. Also, my northern lights over mountain mugs are new.

What was the first item you ever made? How did you learn to make it?

My first items were tiny wheel thrown pots that I made in a beginners class. I used to mainly throw, but during a slump when I had trouble centering I tried hand building for a while and fell in love.

What else would you like everyone to know about your wares?

Besides being fun and colorful, the stoneware is dishwasher and microwave safe.
