What Else You Should Know About Them:
What kind of geeky goodness will you be bringing with you to the next Geekery Market?
My main focus is cross-stitch goods, such as earrings, keychains, patches and necklaces. I also make shrinky-dink and resin pins, studs, and keychains, perler bead keychains and necklaces, stickers, and themed beaded bracelets necklaces and rings. My husband is also making leather keychains, collars and bracelets.
What's an item you are bringing that you are really excited about?
Right now it is my stormy cloud cross-stitch earrings. I am always proud of the way the cross-stitch items I make come out.
What was the first item you ever made? How did you learn to make it?
The first item I made to sell was mini pokemon patches. It was basically the prototype to all of the cross-stitch goods that I make. I kind of stumbled across the way of making them by just winging it.
What else would you like everyone to know about your wares?
All of the earrings I make are make with nickel free hardware. I keep clip-on earring attachments on hand just in case someone really likes the earrings, but they don't have pierced ears. I am more than willing to switch the hardware out. I do bring beads with me. I have a "menu" of all the colors and types I have, so if you would like a custom bracelet, I can make them on site.
If you could travel anywhere in space or time, real or imagined, where would you want to go?
I would really love to travel to Japan. There is so much there I would love to explore and shop for. The food looks so delicious, the fashion is so amazing, and I would buy so much stationary and craft supplies it's not even funny.
Come see them live at The Geekery Market on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 10am to 4PM at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center - 4751 NC Highway 49 (Event Center B).
