OctoBomb Studio
Welcome to our Geekery Market Spotlight! Today we'd like to introduce you to OctoBomb Studio!
Hi my name is Erica and I am the artist behind OctoBomb Studio. I have been dabbling in the arts since a young age. I have always enjoyed videogames and cartoons and my work is heavily influenced by that. I enjoy making art based off of pop culture, art inspired by nature and of everyday objects. My work can be described as colorful, fanticful and whimsical reaching out to that inner child.
What Else You Should Know About Them:
Describe all the geeky goodness you'll be bringing to the next Geekery Market! What kind of items will you be selling?
I will be selling prints, stickers, magnets, charms, tote bags and original paintings all inspired by videogames and pop culture.
What is something that surprised you about making / selling your wares?
I haven't had too many surprises per say, but I am still surprised by what people tend to like. Like something that I think will sell really well doesn't and something I wasn't expecting to sell well does. So more stuff like that tends to surprise me.
What has been one of your favorite stories so far while running your business?
One of my favorite stories is of a customer that bought one of my Zombie Banana charms for their girlfriend and said " I love this because me and my girlfriend call each other nanners." It was the cutest thing ever!
What is an interesting fact about your wares / business that you want to make sure everyone knows?
The clay magnets that I sell have all been cut by hand and hand painted. Each one is slightly different than the other even if they look the same.
Looking over the list of artisans this year, what is one of the booths you are looking forward to visiting?
I am looking forward to checking out That Chick Maya. There are definitely more that I'm excited to check out, but theirs stood out to me.
Come see them live at The Geekery Market on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 10am to 4PM at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center – 4751 NC Highway 49 (Event Center B).
