Nancy E Dunne, Author

Nancy E. Dunne is a multi-genre speculative fiction author and nationally certified American Sign Language/English interpreter. She is fascinated with how language and culture can shape and influence storytelling. She has eight published novels and one novella in the epic fantasy genre, two litRPG novels, and one alternative history/gaslamp fantasy novel as well as two series about her greyhounds and wolfhounds from their perspectives. She lives in the Upstate of SC with her husband and dogs, and is a member of the Broadleaf Writers Association in Georgia.

Describe all the geeky goodness you'll be bringing to the next Geekery Market! What kind of items will you be selling?

I will have my novels which span the sub genres of fantasy, from high fantasy to slightly steampunk to LitRPG. I may also have some jewelry, special bookmarks, and other merch inspired by my books!

What is something that surprised you about making / selling your wares?

I had no idea I had these many stories in ny head! Also, the introvert in me loves talking to readers about my books and writers about their projects. It's a win-win!

What has been one of your favorite stories so far while running your business?

I met a teenager at an event whose father suggested she come talk to me about writing. We talked for a long time and she bought one of my books...and she is now a published fantasy author! I'm so proud.

What is an interesting fact about your wares / business that you want to make sure everyone knows?

I am all about found family and strong female heroines that save themselves while taking everyone along for the ride. Inclusion is very important to me. Im also a certified sign language interpreter and love languages which you will see in my high fantasy novels.

Looking over the list of artisans this year, what is one of the booths you are looking forward to visiting?

I love the other author booths. We are like family and selfishly, I come away from these events more inspired to write!!
