Hello there! I’m Maya, the heart and creative spirit behind Angel’s Mystical Artifacts. I’ve called the Charlotte area home since 2017, where I live with my wonderful husband and our delightful menagerie of fur babies who keep life interesting (and full of love).

Originally from the beautiful country of Bolivia, I’ve spent more than half my life in the U.S., blending cultures, flavors, and inspiration into everything I create. When I’m not crafting something magical, you’ll find me lost in a good book, experimenting in the kitchen, or exploring new places—always chasing a bit of wonder wherever I go.

I’m so excited to share the magical treasures I’ll be bringing to this market! I’ve been brewing up some new goodies, including a Crystal Advent Calendar to make every day sparkle, Self-Care Ritual Kits for moments of serenity, and my new favorite — Blind Date with a Deck — a surprise connection waiting to be revealed. Of course, I’ll also have a beloved client favorite: my Crystal & Herb-Infused Intention Candles, each one crafted with care to invite light and purpose into your space. For my cottagecore dreamers, I’m bringing adorable fairy mirrors that glow — perfect for adding a touch of whimsy to your home. And don’t miss my Guardian Crystal Globes, stunning pieces that bring beauty, energy, and harmony to any altar or sacred space.

What is something that surprised you about making / selling your wares?

What I love most about this journey is the connections and community it’s created. From forming genuine friendships with fellow vendors to meeting wonderful clients who return time and again, each interaction fills me with gratitude. This experience has also awakened a creative side of myself that once lingered quietly in the background. Now, it’s at the heart of everything I do — and I’m constantly amazed by how much joy and fulfillment it brings. I never imagined I’d love this path as deeply as I do.

What has been one of your favorite stories so far while running your business?

I recently had one of those moments that completely fills your heart. I was visiting someone’s home, and they began telling me about these beautiful candles they had been gifted — how much they loved them, how special they felt. Then they brought one over to show me… and it was one of my Intuition candles. I can’t describe how honored and touched I felt in that moment. Seeing the genuine joy on their face — and then watching their expression light up even more when they found out I was the one who made it — truly made my day.

What is an interesting fact about your wares / business that you want to make sure everyone knows?

An interesting fact about my creations is that each piece is crafted with care, intention, and positive energy. Every candle, kit, and artifact is infused with a little bit of magic and love — meant to bring warmth, peace, and light to whoever receives it. I truly believe there’s something for everyone in my collection, whether you’re drawn to crystals, ritual tools, or simply beautiful things that make you feel good. Looking over the list of artisans this year, what is one of the booths you are looking forward to visiting?

Modern Goldfish. I absolutely love Kenna! Her work is absolutely magical!
