We’ll be bringing the Luck Factory experience to the Geekery Market, setting up tables with quick, easy-to-learn games—and one of our game experts will be there to teach you how to play, so you can jump right in and have fun. Alongside the gaming, we’ll have some of our sweet treats (think gooey brownies and Rice Crispie treats!) to keep your energy up. For those who want to take the geeky goodness home, we’ll also have a curated selection of board games for sale, plus D&D accessories such as dice and dice trays to level up your next adventure. Whether you’re here to play, snack, or shop, we’re bringing the Luck Factory Games experience to the Market. Come hang out with us!

What is something that surprised you about making / selling your wares?

One thing that really surprised me is the variety of people to come through our doors. When I first started, I thought it would mostly be board game hobbyists and maybe kids with their families. But it’s so much broader than that! We see couples stopping in for date night, groups of friends hanging out, and even co-workers looking for something fun to do together. On top of that, there are whole communities that have formed here—like our D&D players and our social deduction gamers—who make the café feel like a second home. It’s been amazing to see how games bring so many different people together.

What has been one of your favorite stories so far while running your business?

One of my favorite stories has to be from our Summer Camp this past year. The camp was originally planned around playing games and exploring different mechanics, but by the middle of the week the kids—ages 8 to 11—asked if they could try designing their own game. So we set aside time to make it happen! They brainstormed ideas, worked together as a team, and by the end of the week they had a game ready to playtest. Watching them light up with pride as we all played their creation was incredible. It was such a great reminder of how creative and collaborative games can be, and how much joy comes from not just playing them, but making them too.

What is an interesting fact about your wares / business that you want to make sure everyone knows?

We host and customize events of all kinds! We’ve done everything from corporate team-building sessions and STEM field trips to rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, and more. We can tailor the experience for your group, whether that means a unique spin on a murder mystery, a D&D birthday with a dedicated Dungeon Master, or even workshops on game design. It’s one of our favorite ways to bring people together through games.

Looking over the list of artisans this year, what is one of the booths you are looking forward to visiting?

Leveled up geek for the dice earrings, Epic meltdown for cool D&D candles, and Gamma ray geek for fun dice towers.
