As the final days count down, we are excited to announce the schedule for this year’s Geekery Market Music Tent on Saturday, November 9th. This year the music tent is moving inside, with some ambient tunes to accompany you while you are shopping to your heart’s delight.
Entrance to the event is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods or donate cash to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of the Metrolinas, which supports over 90 counties in the Carolinas, many that were impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Joining our favorite gothic duo, Valentine Wolfe, the Charlotte Geeks are happy to welcome Corwyn the Bardbarian – who recently performed at this year’s DragonCon.
About Corwyn the Bardbarian
Bearing the name of the Crown Prince of Amber, and looking like the lovechild of Lemmy and a disco ball, Corwyn the Bardbarian strums, sings, and shreds his way across the cosmos. His recent releases have paid tribute to a certain group of vampires from Staten Island, and asked hard-hitting philosophical questions like: “Why is the Rum Gone” and “Where do baby Cthulus come from?”
Solo singer-songwriter–acoustic, electric, and all points in-between. More rock ‘n’ roll than Renn-faire. 10 official releases, including a 5-song EP tribute to “What We Do in The Shadows”; 20 years of experience performing.
About Valentine Wolfe
Venture into the depths of darkness with Valentine Wolfe, where seances, gothic literature, and macabre history intertwine to create a haunting symphony of sound. Led by the ethereal and haunting vocals of Sarah Black and the brooding melancholy of Braxton Ballew’s solo double bass, Valentine Wolfe channels their love of Paradise Lost, Evanescence, and Mozart into their own music of mystery and imagination.
Valentine Wolfe’s insatiable curiosity has led them to explore diverse musical realms, including collaborations with theatrical and film productions. Notably, they’ve breathed new life into silent horror classics such as Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, and The Phantom of the Opera, enchanting audiences with their live dark ambient film scores.
