What's an item you are bringing that you are really excited about?

I'm super excited to bring along The Sword's Secret - Ancient Wonders: Book 1. This is our new urban fantasy series featuring LGBTQIA+ characters at the forefront of an Arthurian legend adventure.

What was the first item you ever made? How did you learn to make it?

The first book I ever published was my own - The House on Dead Man's Curve - back in September 2022. I had a wonderful crew of friends who supported me during this process and were always available for questions and guiding me in the right direction. I listened carefully and took many notes along the way. I love this process so much that I quickly found my passion shifting from the wonderful day job that pays the bills to the publishing and writing process. During this shift, I decided I wanted a way to share this adventure with my community, and in January of 2023 formed Gold Dust Publishing, LLC - the new indie press for LGBTQIA+ authors, stories, and queer history preservation.

What else would you like everyone to know about your wares?

The name Gold Dust Publishing stems from a Tori Amos song on her 2002 Scarlet's Walk album titled Gold Dust. I decided on the name around November of 2022 while in recovery from cancer. I was constantly hearing the news talk about banned books and a line from the song popped into my head. "We held gold dust in our hands." My mind quickly made a connection to the song and the journey I was on. We hold books in our hands, be it a physical copy, or digital device, they are still being held in our hands. Those banned books are the gold dust others are trying to take away from us. And this my friends was the start of Gold Dust Publishing.

If you could travel anywhere in space or time, real or imagined, where would you want to go?

If I could travel anywhere, it would be to travel to the UK. I've always wanted to travel overseas. I feel there may have been a connection there in a past life. Someday I hope to make this possible. Maybe to have my own Arthurian legend adventure.
