Welcome to The Geekery Market (formerly the Muggles Market). We are excited for our next event – just in time for all your geeky holiday shopping needs! As usual, we’ll be introducing you all to our artisans/authors/artists, sponsors, and activities for the Market every week as we get closer to the big day.
Please allow me to introduce to you one of our artisans, FairyNerdy. FairyNerdy focuses on fandoms, fantasy, and sarcasm. Lots of sarcasm.
Answers to our 5 Geeky Questions
Tell us about the geeky goodness you’ll be bringing to the next Geekery Market! Stickers are my main item, and I’ve got several new designs since the last market. I’ll also have a couple of nerdy t-shirts on hand for ordering, as well as a few enamel pins.
How did you get started doing what you do? I’ve always been artistic, but I’ve been doing stickers et al. for less than 10 years. I wanted a way to share my creations with others that didn’t necessarily involve giving up my originals. (I get attached.) Small products like stickers were the best option because I can create a lot of different designs without an overwhelming amount of product.
What’s an item you are bringing that you are really excited about? I’m always excited about everything I make! But I love seeing other people get excited by what I’ve created, so I always look forward to seeing what products get the most attention.
What else would you like everyone to know about your wares? FairyNerdy is a disabled-woman-owned business that is focused on fostering an environment of inclusivity.
What’s your favorite holiday story? Claude the Dog! Reading “Claude the Dog” has been a Christmas Eve tradition since I was a baby nerd, many, many years ago.
