Describe all the geeky goodness you'll be bringing to the next Geekery Market! What kind of items will you be selling?

Books! So many fabulous titles from some of the most up-and-coming authors working today! We've got fantasy, horror and science fiction, enough to fill your bookshelves with thrills, chills and magic.

What is something that surprised you about making / selling your wares?

Our authors come up with the most enthralling stories, even when we think we've read it all. Every book is a wonderful new adventure, and it's fun to discover the treasures of their imaginations. We can't wait to help shoppers find just the right story to take home with them.

What has been one of your favorite stories so far while running your business?

Earlier this year, Mocha Memoirs Press was proud to receive the Specialty Press Award from the Horror Writers Association at StokerCon 2025. The HWA Specialty Press Award is presented periodically to a specialty publisher whose work has substantially contributed to the horror genre, whose publications display general excellence, and whose dealings with authors have been fair and exemplary. The entire awards presentation at StokerCon is available on YouTube. Our publisher, Nicole Givens Kurtz, was present to accept the award.

What is an interesting fact about your wares / business that you want to make sure everyone knows?

We do our best to make a publishing home for a diverse group of writers, and it's always a joy to be able to offer a reader a book that speaks to them personally. Everyone wants to imagine themselves as the hero of a story, and we're determined to make that a reality for all readers.

Looking over the list of artisans this year, what is one of the booths you are looking forward to visiting?

I'm excited to visit the Functional Mud pottery booth. There's always room for another pottery mug in my life! And since I'm getting a new mug, I probably need to visit the Dusty Rose Coffee Roasters and Moments In Tea, to have something tasty to put in. I don't know if they're coming back, but if the fudge vendors show up, I'm ready to take some of their delicious goodies home with me. (Assuming I don't gobble it all up before the day ends. Because fudge!!)
