Alex Runde of Seams Legit Crafts is a new artisan with our Muggles Markets. We asked Alex a few questions about their life, work, and what treasures they’ll be bringing to Muggles Market: Love and Plunder.
Please tell us all about the plunder you’ll be bringing to Muggles Market.
I’m bringing a bunch of fun, colorful stuffed plushies. I definitely have a mythic/extinct creature focus with lots of dinosaurs, unicorns, and monsters.
How did you get started making your glorious plunder?
I went to college for computer animation and a classmate made a short film with the cutest sheep characters. Before we graduated I made a few of them as gifts and people loved them. Eventually I shifted to my own designs.
What’s an item you are bringing that you are really excited about?
I have a very select few creatures with custom made galaxy print fabric. They’re truly one of a kind.
What else would you like everyone to know about your wares?
I hope they make you smile and brighten your day.
What’s your favorite love or pirate story and why?
The Princess Bride for sure. It’s a perfect film (and pretty good book).
