The Geekery Market is pleased to announce the individual and cumulative total donations collected for 2023. On Saturday, November 4th, we are pleased to report that we collected 756 pounds of non-perishable food items, and $1,178 in cash and online donations. That equates to 9,002 pounds worth of food that can be distributed throughout the community.
When you add that total to our market held in February our combined total donation for 2023 adds up to 20, 251 pounds of food. And a total donation of over 30, 552 since we started our food drive in 2017.
Of course, no matter how much we donate, the need continues on. That is why we will continue to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina in 2024 to help fight hunger.
