Welcome to another Muggles Market Spotlight for 2017! Today, we are delighted to announce the return of Lily Pad Crafts to our second annual Muggles’ Market at this year’s Geek Gala. Rona Herman took a few minutes to answer some questions about their business and general geekery.
I had a lot of fun last year at the Muggles Market getting to meet so many wonderful and colorful people, both customers and fellow vendors. The conversations were spectacular. Of course, getting to see people happy with their purchases was an added bonus. I also loved seeing all the variety of handmade items the other vendors were selling. Such creative people!
This year I plan on bringing back more wedge pillows of all sizes (little for cell phones, large for tablets and jumbo for people). I have them in a whole new set of fabrics including some original Jetsons and Scooby Doo!
New this year I’ll be bringing a bunch of fun ‘geeky’ patches and ‘mug rugs’.
Outside of my quilting/crafting business, I am also the Education Coordinator and quilting teacher at JoAnn Fabric here in Charlotte. This is a fairly new position for me, but I’m loving every minute of it! Getting to share my knowledge with others has been incredibly rewarding.
Voltron. Take it old school. But, it would definitely have to be a live action/CGI extravaganza.
