Muggles Market Monday Spotlight: GravyFace

Welcome to Muggles Market Monday!  Each week we are spotlighting one of the artisans scheduled to appear at our brand new Muggles’ Market at this year’s Geek Gala.  This week’s featured artisan is GravyFace. Jessica Thompson and Matthew Bixler took a few minutes to answer some questions about their business and general geekery.

What kind of items will you be selling at this year’s Muggles Market? 
This year we will be selling jewelry, small accessories, prints, stickers, and zines – all with that special GravyFace flavour.

How did you first get started making these things? 
GravyFace started as a little hobby for us, but we had so much fun we just kept going!

What has been one of your favorite projects to work on?
We are very proud of our “Dripping Heart” design. It’s a deceptively simple idea which took a lot of prodding and tinkering to get just right. We’ve also started making mini food charms that look absolutely incredible. They may even debut at this year’s Muggles Market!

What else can you tell us about yourself?

GravyFace is just a couple of young, dumb artists who love slime, grime, and everything cute.

So this year’s Geek Gala is about space travel – if you could join any TV/Movie space crew – who would it be and why?
Star Trek: Voyager. We would follow Capt. Katherine Janeway until the very end of time.
